Class Duration: 4 Hours.
Take A Pattern From Your Favourite Garment - In this class learn how to make a pattern from your favourite garment without the need to unpick it.
You’ll learn how to systematically trace off the garment making sure that each pattern piece fits back together and has the correct grainline. You can either make your pattern on paper or cardboard and if time permits we will also make a toile (or muslin) of your new pattern to test the fit before cutting out in the correct fabric (in your own time). The type of fabric for your toiles can be purchased at Tessuti on the day with the teacher's assistance. Please no draped or pleated garments for this class.
Equipment List:
- Sewing Machine (Tessuti have sewing machines, there is no need to bring your own)
- Scissors for cutting fabric and paper
- Measuring tape
- Unpicker
- Needles and Thread
- French Curve or Grading Ruler
- Pens/Pencil/Tailors Chalk
- Pins
