This design was drawn from the story of Triton, a sea god who used a conch shell as his trumpet â various shell motifs and patterns are referenced in ancient Greek pottery, inspiring the look of the small-scale textural design. Its shell motif, which is repeated in a grid-like formation, was created using a monoprinting technique to achieve the mark-making texture.
